Should I wash my bedding before first use?

Yes, we recommend washing your bedding before first use. Any wrinkles you see straight out of the pack are completely normal as it’s simply the nature of bamboo fabric. After a wash, those gentle creases will ease out, allowing the material to soften, drape beautifully and settle into its natural flow.

It is very important to only use a mild laundry detergent. Avoid everyday detergents that contain optical brighteners, bleaches, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage your sheets and cause discoloration or marking. Opt for a delicate wash formula, such as those designed for wool, which can be purchased at most major supermarkets.

Our organic bamboo comes from China, the birthplace of bamboo, where it’s expertly crafted by a team with extensive experience in producing premium, ultra-soft bamboo fabric

What materials are used in your products? 

Our products are made from 100% organic bamboo. The bamboo is Oeko-Tex certified, meaning it has been independently tested throughout all stages of production to ensure it is free from harmful substances.

Will your sheets fit a deep mattress? 

Yes, our sheets are designed with extra depth, making them ideal for deep mattresses or those with toppers.

What is the thread count of your sheets?

Our sheets have a 300 thread count, which is comparable to 1,000 thread count in cotton. However, thread count alone can be misleading. It's more important to focus on the quality of the fabric, the weave, and how the sheets feel to you.

How should I care for my sheets? 

 

Care

  • Cold Water Only

Bamboo sheets should always be washed in cold water. While some may worry that cold water isn't sufficient for cleaning, rest assured that bamboo’s natural antibacterial properties make it difficult for bacteria and dust mites to thrive. 

  • Gentle Detergents

It’s equally important to choose a mild laundry detergent. Avoid everyday detergents that contain optical brighteners, bleaches, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage your sheets and cause discoloration or spotting. Opt for a delicate wash formula, like those designed for wool. These can be found at most major supermarkets. 

  • Removing Stains

For those tougher stains consider using a non-chlorine-based stain remover. There are plenty of options available that are gentle on bamboo fabric. Another effective method is to use baking soda – either as a paste or added to your wash.

  • Gentle Cycle & Separate Wash

Select the delicate cycle on your machine and keep the temperature set to cold. It’s best to wash bamboo sheets on their own, rather than with other laundry items. This reduces the chance of damage caused by friction, such as rips, holes, or pilling.

  • Drying

Dry your bamboo sheets on a delicate setting in the dryer is fine, but be sure to avoid high heat. Alternatively, you can air dry them. A great method is to let them air dry until they’re halfway dry, then finish them off in the dryer to maintain that soft, fluffy texture.

  • Ironing

You can iron bamboo bedding, but keep the heat low. High heat can cause unsightly shine marks and damage the fabric. Using a steam iron is the gentlest method, or better yet, take the sheets out of the dryer and put them directly on the bed to allow any wrinkles to naturally relax.

Will the colour on my screen match the actual product?

While we've made every effort to ensure the colours on screen closely match the actual product, please be aware that screen brightness and contrast can cause variations.

Do you offer fabric samples? 

This is not something we currently offer, however we do have a 60-day money back guarantee.

Which payment methods do you accept?

What should I do if my order arrives damaged, I receive the wrong item or an item is missing?

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is free for all Australian orders. For international orders, shipping is a flat rate of $30.

How will I know when my order has shipped?

Once your order has been fulfilled by our warehouse, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email. Please check your junk or spam folders if you don't see it in your inbox.

What should I do if my order is lost in transit?

If you suspect your order is lost in transit, please get in touch with us at hello@sleepins.com.au as soon as possible. We’ll liaise with the delivery services on your behalf to investigate what’s happened.

What should I do if my order is marked as delivered but I haven’t received it?

We will help locate your order if you email the team at hello@sleepins.com.au

Can I update my shipping address after placing an order?

Yes, timing is key. If you’ve made a mistake or need to change your shipping address, please email us as soon as possible at hello@sleepins.com.au with your updated details.

If your order hasn’t shipped yet, we’ll gladly update the address for you.

However, if your parcel has already been dispatched, we unfortunately can’t make any changes. In that case, we recommend contacting the delivery services directly to see if they can redirect the package. While we can’t guarantee the success of this, some delivery services may allow you to update your delivery address while the parcel is en route.

To avoid delays or misdeliveries, we always suggest double-checking your shipping details before placing your order.

What if I’m not home when my delivery arrives?

The courier will leave your delivery in a safe place or leave a notice with instructions on how to reschedule or arrange for redelivery.

Can you deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers?

We sure do.

Returns

What is your return and exchange policy?

Sleep Ins 30‑Day Returns

Our returns period is 30 days (for full-priced items) to ensure smooth and timely processing of all returns. Please read the guidelines below to see which option applies to your order.

1. Return Window

You have 30 calendar days from the date your parcel arrives to start a return.

2. Eligibility & Refund Options

We offer returns for eligible change of mind purchases within 30 days of your order arriving. If your item was purchased on SALE, you are eligible for a store credit only. Please notify us as soon as possible after receiving your order if you would like to initiate a return.

For a change of mind return, your item must be in the original package, as any used, washed or unfolded items will not be eligible for a refund. Please ensure you check the size tag before unpacking your item. 

Initiating a Return

To request a return, exchange, or store credit, please email us at hello@sleepins.com.au with your order number, the item(s) you’d like to return, and the reason for the return. We'll send you return instructions and the appropriate shipping address.

Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping method to ensure safe delivery to our warehouse.

Refund Process

Once we receive your returned product, we’ll process your refund to the original payment method within 10 business days.

3. Faulty or Incorrect Items

We do our best to ensure your order arrives exactly as expected, but if something’s not right, whether it’s the wrong item or a manufacturing issue — we’ll make it right.

Please notify us within 45 days of receiving your order by emailing hello@sleepins.com.au. Once your return reaches us, we’ll carry out an inspection and aim to have everything resolved within two weeks.

If the product is found to have a genuine fault, you can choose either a replacement or a refund to your original payment method.

What’s Not Considered a Fault:

Some product variations are considered normal and not eligible for return under our faults policy:

Discolouration: May result from body oils, skincare products, or detergents that are too harsh for bamboo fabric. Please ensure you carefully inspect your items before washing, as we cannot accept responsibility for any damage that occurs after washing. Refer to our Care Instructions. 

Shrinkage: Our designs allow for approximately 5% shrinkage after the first few washes. Following the care guide will help maintain the fit. (Not Considered Manufacturing Defects)

Pilling: A natural result in some untreated fabrics, not a defect — and one of the reasons our bamboo bedding is free from harsh chemicals and nasties.
